Handcrafted Cardinal Quill Box

A completely handcrafted piece from the Northwest Territory.This beautiful piece features porcupine quill, grass and bark hand formed into this intricate box. The top of the box has white quill background with red, green, brown and tan quill creating a cardinal pictorial. The sides of the box are also intricately woven with white quill. The box measures 4 1/4 inches across the top, 2 3/4 high, and 4 1/4 inches across. This piece is approximately 20 years old. It is signed by the maker, with the name Irene Desmoulin.
