Silas & Berdie Ohmsatte Vintage 14K Inlay Necklace

An absolute collector's piece from master Zuni goldsmiths and inlay artists Silas and Berdie Ohmsatte. This piece combines 14K beads strung on foxtail and finished with 14K gold cones and a lobster claw clasp. The piece has been restrung recently. Twelve turquoise beads accent the strand. The piece weighs approximately 32.9 grams! The pendant measures 1 1/2 by 2 1/3 inches including the bale. The strand measures 20 inches including the clasp. The piece is inlaid with turquoise, gold lipped mother of pearl, black jade, malachite, bright red coral and what appears to be ironwood (the branch). Signed by the artist. Circa 1980s.
