Vintage Porfilio & Ann Sheyka Bolo
Product Description

An amazing example of this much sought after couple's work. Porfilio & Ann Sheyka began making jewelry in 1961. This piece is most likely done in the late 1960s. Porfilio passed away in 1982, making a short career for such a talented jeweler. This bolo is made of mother of pearl, gold lipped mother of pearl, turquoise, shell and jet. It measures 1 3/4 wide by 3 inches high. As was a distinct feature of this couple's work, the inlay is intricately etched to show details of the feathers. The tips are also inlaid, depicting eagle heads. The piece has a Bennett clip on the back. The black bolo cord measures 45 inches from end to end, including the tips. This piece is signed on the reverse with P Sheyka. A true collector's piece. Additional photos available: please inquire by email.
