Vintage Sterling & Turquoise Salt & Pepper Shakers

Navajo/ Hopi artsit Dick Mike Yazzie created this sterling silver and turquoise salt and pepper shaker set in the late 1970s. It is signed with his stamp DMY. Each piece is sterling silver and features bear or badger paw overlay design inlaid with two pieces of turquoise. This design is repeated on all four sides. Each one measures 1 1/3 by 1 3/4 by 1 inch. The pieces also feature stampwork along the bottoms. Both pieces have a patina on the sterling silver, that could easily be polished, if you desire. It has been left as many collectors prefer. The rubber or plastic pieces that cover the hole on the bottom to prevent the salt and pepper from coming out are missing. However, these pieces would be great just for display!
