Vintage Thunderbird Zuni Bolo

An oldie but a goodie! This is a breathtaking example of fine Zuni craftsmanship from circa 1930. This piece is hand inlaid with a green turquoise, spiney oyster shell, jet and mother of pearl. The main piece measures 1 1/2 by 2 1/2 inches. The back has the pre-Bennett clip fastenings: two bars set horizontally and pinched in the middle. The turquoise is different shades, as it is natural turquoise and has changed with age and wear. The piece is in great condition and has a vintage patina to the silver. The dark brown cord measures 38 inches from end to end including the tips. The cord also shows some age but no damage.
