Vintage Wayne Silvers Blue Jay Cuff

A charming manipulation of stone and silver in this vintage cuff by Navajo artist Wayne Silvers. Wayne began producing under this stamp "W.Silvers" in 1974. This piece features detailed inlay of a blue jay with coral leaf accents. The top piece also has turquoise cobble style inlay outlining the rim. The blue jay is comprised of turquoise, mother of pearl and black jade (or onyx). The outer band of the cuff features the classic shell design on a split band. The cuff measures 5 5/8 inches plus a 1 1/8 inch opening. This piece has a vintage patina that has not been removed as many collectors prefer. Wayne's work is extremely hard to find and there are very few pieces of his available. This one is in great condition, with no pieces of inlay missing or broken. Stamped by the artist.
